Cookies
This page lists every cookie and similar storage mechanism the typevoice.app website may set on your device. The TypeVoice iPhone app itself does not use cookies.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores at our request, usually to remember your preferences or to count anonymous visits. TypeVoice uses cookies for a single purpose: aggregate, anonymous analytics. We do not run advertising trackers, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking.
What we set
- Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase). We use Firebase Analytics to count pageviews and understand which pages are useful. It may set cookies named _ga, _gid, and _gat, along with a Firebase-issued FIREBASE_APP_INSTANCE_ID. These do not contain your name or any personal contact information; they are random identifiers used to deduplicate sessions in aggregate analytics.
What we do not set
- No advertising or remarketing cookies.
- No social-network share-button cookies.
- No cross-site or fingerprinting trackers.
- No user-account cookies — there is no sign-in on this site.
The iOS app
TypeVoice on iPhone does not use cookies. The app reads and writes only its own sandboxed storage (preferences, dictation history) and does not embed a web view that could be tracked.
Opting out
- Most browsers let you block or clear cookies in the privacy settings. In Safari on iOS: Settings ▸ Apps ▸ Safari ▸ Block All Cookies. In Chrome: Settings ▸ Privacy and security ▸ Cookies and other site data.
- Sending a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal will cause this site to skip Firebase Analytics initialization on your visit.
- You can install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on to disable measurement across all sites using Google / Firebase Analytics.
Privacy policy
Cookies are one part of the larger picture. Our complete data practices are explained in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
If we change which cookies are set, this page is updated and the date at the top is revised.
